In This Episode:
Lae and I discuss her journey to diagnosis with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) from being a peer support specialist on Discord, to seeing a professional.
We talk about the need for people to show up for one another and how it is cool that we can do that in online group spaces now.
Lae talks about what things led her to seeking diagnosis as well as how her life has changed since.
Lae tells us a little bit about some of her alters and how they coincide with one another through life.
More About Lae:
Laeticia, better known as Lae, is an online peer supporter who has been voluntarily working in a Discord support server for youth named Kendra Kat Foundation for over 4 years, and she used to spend 3 years helping out in another support server for teenagers as a minor before that. Today, she shares with me about being an online peer supporter in her early 20s, her diagnosis journey of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), and facing mental health issues as a human.
